The famous Harrow School, attended by seven prime ministers including Sir Winston Churchill stands on top of Harrow on the Hill, near to the 900 year old St. Mary's Church.

Grimsdyke House, in Old Redding, Harrow Weald, once home of W.S. Gilbert, of Gilbert and Sulivan fame, is now a beautiful hotel.

Situated in Stanmore is Bentley Priory, once the home of Queen Adelaide and later the headquarters of Fighter Command from where Lord Dowding commanded the Battle of Britain. Bentley Priory is still used by the R.A.F.
