BOOKING YOUR RECEPTION

How to Book
Having discussed your requirements and date all you have to do is place a provisional booking with us. Within fourteen days of placing the provisional booking we will require a deposit of £ 350.00 and written confirmation. We will reply, confirming details of your booking and enclosing your receipt for the deposit paid. Should we not receive a deposit within fourteen days we will be obliged to release the provisional booking. Four months before the function date, prices will be confirmed to you and dishes will he agreed. Prices are correct at time of printing but may be subject to change. All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate. Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Payment
75% of the total bill to be paid 1 month before the date. Final payment to be paid 14 days before the wedding.

Service
We do not make a charge for service as we believe you should have the right to reward good service personally.

Booking Conditions
No room hire charge will be made for a function when you select an All Inclusive Package. A room hire charge will normally apply to all buffet and menu selections of less than £18.00 per person except for an evening Buffet following a Wedding Reception or another function held at our hotel. The finalised menu and an indication of approximate numbers attending must be given no later than 28 days prior to the function. The guaranteed number of guests and seating plan must be notified a minimum of 7 days prior to the function. This number will be the minimum charged. If the final number of guests varies to that notified 7 days prior to the function then the following will apply: If the number of guests increases the balance will be payable 24 hours prior to the Event. If the number of guests decreases the guaranteed number of guests will be charged.

Cancellations
Should you cancel your booking within 120 days of the event a cancellation charge will automatically be levied. If you unfortunately have to cancel your function, the Cumberland Hotel will retain the amount shown below in lieu of cancellation: 30% of the expected bill if The Cumberland Hotel is given less than 120 days notice. 60% of the expected bill if The Cumberland Hotel is given less than 60 days notice However, if you re-book the function on the same terms at a later date, we may be able to waive cancellation charges.
